Whether you're known for showstopping celebration cakes, the perfect loaf of bread or irresistible brownies, this is your chance to put your baking skills in the spotlight. The Cake & Bake Show is searching for the UK's most talented home baker, and we'd love you to be part of it!

Open to amateur bakers of all abilities from across the UK, Home Baker of the Year celebrates creativity, passion and the joy of baking. Enter your favourite bake for the chance to progress through our nationwide competition and compete live at The Cake & Bake Show, where one talented baker will be crowned the UK's Home Baker of the Year.

August: Chocolate Month

This month, it’s all about chocolate! Whether you’re baking a rich chocolate cake, gooey brownies, decadent cookies, chocolate tarts or something completely unique, we want to see your best chocolate bake.

To enter, simply share a photo or video of your bread creation on Instagram, tag @thecakeandbakeshow and #HomeBakeroftheYear26, and follow the entry instructions.

In your caption, tell us:

2. What makes your chocolate bake stand out from the crowd?

Your bake could earn you a place in the Home Baker of the Year semi-finals, bringing you one step closer to competing live at The Cake & Bake Show and being crowned the UK's Home Baker of the Year!

How it works

Stage 1 - Enter Online

Each month from July, you'll have the opportunity to submit photos of your best bake along with a few details about what inspired it. There will be three rounds, with categories including bread, cookies, pies and more.

Based on creativity, skill and presentation, our expert judging panel will shortlist the most impressive entries to take part in the semi-finals.

Stage 2 - Semi Finals

This is your chance to share more about your bake, from top tips to what makes it so special. You'll submit a video showcasing your creation and answering a series of questions.

Our expert judging panel will review all videos. Selected bakers will then be invited to take part in the finals, where they will compete live on The Home Bake Stage, to win the title of Home Baker Of The Year.  

Stage 3 - The Live Finals

Finalists will be asked to create an iconic British bake and bring it along to The Cake & Bake Show. You'll go head-to-head in front of our judges and live audience for the chance to become the UK's Home Baker of the Year.

All bakes will be tasted and judged by our panel of experts! Will your bake have what it takes to win??
