Janet Sawyer MBE BEM is the Managing Director and Founder of LittlePod, a Devon-based natural ingredients company, specialising in real vanilla. Janet launched LittlePod in 2010 having learned that the precious vanilla orchid could be lost forever unless immediate action was taken. Having developed LittlePod's innovative natural vanilla paste in a tube, Janet has spent 15 years educating consumers about vanilla whilst supporting farming communities on the Equatorial Belt through LittlePod's Campaign for Real Vanilla. 

Having helped establish a pioneering forest orchard in Indonesia, Janet has launched LittlePod to the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2018 and the King's Award for Enterprise in 2023 – both in the Sustainable Development category. Awarded the MBE in recognition of LittlePod’s services to international trade, sustainability and exports, and the British Empire Medal for her contribution to culture and employment, Janet has just written her second book – Real Vanilla: Nature’s Unsung Hero.
