Andy is the creator behind Big Boy Bakes, a bold, high‑energy baking brand known for neon‑retro visuals, indulgent flavours and joyful, personality‑driven content. He first appeared on The Great British Bake Off, Series 15, where his vibrant style, humour and signature greeting “Hello my loves”   

 helped define the Big Boy Bakes identity and build a loyal audience. 

Since Bake Off, Andy has become a familiar presence across UK media, with features on the BBC, Digital Spy, Newsquest and more. His creator work includes collaborations with Gino Dicampo and other major brands such as Reef, Brod&Taylor, Kilner, and Mason Cash, and he has been recognised by Feedspot as one of the Top 40 UK Baking Influencers in both 2025 and 2026. 

A self‑taught baker shaped by years of recipe development and generational family cooking, Andy brings a grounded, relatable voice to his work.  

His background in the Army and over 20 years as a mechanic give him a unique perspective - blending discipline, humour and hands‑on practicality with big flavours and confident dough work. He specialises in enriched doughs, sourdough, sculptural cakes and playful plated desserts, always delivered with creator‑level clarity and entertainment. 

Andy has performed at major food events including Foodies Festivals, and will be appearing at Good Housekeeping Live later this year.  

He is also set to feature in a new prime‑time TV project. 
Alongside his baking, Andy uses his platform to raise awareness around IVF, male mental health, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, dementia and Klippel‑Trenaunay‑Weber Syndrome - causes close to his heart and central to his community work.
