A crucial part to the art of cake making is the decorating. The final finishing touches to the delicious hard work of baking. There are a number of new cake decorating trends in 2022. From large balloon designs made of chocolate balls, to origami geometric designs, to Asian jelly cakes. This year saw the rise of the wacky and wonderful.

Extreme Cake Maker Molly Robins will be showing off her amazing, cute animal cakes, using her innovative baking mould system. Why not visit Cake Diva Rosie’s gorgeous Showstopper 2022, where she will be crafting a life size Paddington Bear in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

A huge trend this year in the cake decorating sphere has been the use of stencils and intricate designs.
