October 2020LONDON

We had so much going on at last year's show -  all of which was included in the show ticket. All demonstrations on the theatres were free to attend, and with so many exhibitors offering free, interactive workshops - bookers were able to really get their hands sticky!

Here are just a few of the hands-on demos and workshops that ran throughout the 2018 show:

Le Cordon Bleu hosted an array of activities at last year's show. The institute pastry chefs taught key techniques on how to make exquisite almond dacquoise and no-fail lemon tartlet through ticketed workshop sessions. The leading culinary arts, wine and management school's Master Chefs hosted a series of free demonstrations at their stand and on the Baking Theatre showed step-by-step techniques that were taught in their Pâtisserie and Boulangerie Diplomas. The chefs and top professionals in the industry were also available at the Slice of Advice feature to answer any burning questions.

Cake Craft World offered hands-on workshops on their stand using products from their site.

Demonstrations and interactive workshops were hosted by Dr. Oetker on their stand, to brush up on your decorating skills.

Bookers were able to discover the art of icing a cake flawlessly with Lindt Excellence’s Classic Dark Chocolate Cake on the Decorating Stage, and were able to take away their own perfectly finished Lindt Excellence creation as well as tips and tricks from the dark chocolate experts.

And for little ones, the Kid's Zone brought to you by GOSH, provided young bakers with an opportunity to try their hand at biscuit decorating.

The Cake and Bake Show returns this year on 4-6 October at ExCeL London - we look forward to seeing you there.
