Why is the 2020 show postponed?
Whilst the recent Government announcement introduced guidelines around running organised events from 1st October, we feel the two-month window we have now to execute our plans is insufficient. Delivering the best experience for our visitors and exhibitors requires long-term planning, and to that end have decided to delay the show so we have adequate time to prepare for a show that our audience deserves.
There are a series of test events taking place throughout August and following the outcome of these, organised events may be given the green light to proceed. However, we cannot await the outcome of these test events, as we, along with our exhibitors and sponsors need at least three months to organise and promote the show to ensure it is successful for everyone. There is also the possibility that the test events do not go as expected and the Government announces a delay to their timetable in allowing organised events to take place.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but sadly we are left with no other option but to postpone the event until 2021.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our stakeholders - exhibitors, sponsors, visitors, media partners, contractors, and the team at ExCeL London for continuing to support us through this uncertain and ever-changing situation.
